I wish that iTunes would let me have a dynamic playlist that would allow for frequency. Like for podcasts, there are certain podcasts I listen to everyday, so I would like an everyday playlist. Other podcasts I listen to once a week at the end of the week…etc.
That is what I want.

I’ve gotten a glimse so far at the Google/T-Mobile G1…and boy is it awful - visually speaking. Johnathan Ives need not worry that he’ll have any competition, although Steve Jobs might. I mentioned on twitter that Google/T-Mobile should get with the Target times and realize the value of good industrial design on a product. That being said, the apps are impressive. But let’s talk about openiness for a second. I’m the first to go for the open source free market sort of practices that Google is espoucing with this product, but why shouldn’t they or couldn’t they give iPhone developers the freedom to use the same api’s for accessing the google maps information as easily on the iPhone…at the very least through a web based api. Leaving it open for others to be able to ‘pick their poison’ of phone and just have available the apps and informaiton that they need/want. By closing off the iPhone developers from having the same access isn’t that just as bad as having a closed and proprietary system? This of course is just my first impression and I would love to be linked to articles pointing out other things…

Dwell vs. Google Sketchup

Layne has been trying to get me to learn Google Sketchup and I’ve been trying to find the time to do so…this might give me the extra push to do so with Dwell asking people to design their dreamhome…but the deadline is August 31, so with trying to push our iphone app to beta I don’t really see it happening…

I used to be really into politics, but the soon to be previous president turned me off to the process entirely. When Obama first started his campaign I went to see him speak at Georgia Tech. While encouraged by his ability to rally a crowd and hopeful that I might get my confidence back in the political system, I was disappointed at the fact that he went on stage 2 hours late. I feel much the same way about his pick in a running mate. I had originally had such high hopes for him, and while I still think that there is a lot of potential I’m slightly disappointed in his pick. *sigh*
